Palmer Station is a U.S. Antarctic scientific research station located on Angwell Island in Graham Land, Antarctica, built in 1968. Palmer Station is mostly used for research on marine life. The station is equipped with a network of facilities to monitor seismic, atmospheric and ultraviolet radiation. Other research is focused on physical oceanography, marine geology and marine biology.
