Yangon, formerly known as Ta Kwang, is the largest city in Myanmar and the capital of Yangon Division. It was formerly the capital of Myanmar, with a population of 7.35 million and an area of 312 square miles. Yangon is located at latitude 16°48' north and longitude 96°9' east, and its time zone is Coordinated Universal Time plus six and a half hours. Its main exports are rice, teak, oil, cotton and various metal deposits.
